About this scraper

Scrapes session information (title, speakers, url, start and end times, and room) from lanyrd event pages. Assumes your event is one-day only (mine is!).

Since Lanyrd doesn't have a field for location, I use the convention of putting "Room: 123" as the only thing on the first line of the abstract. This script assumes that and, if found, will grab the room info (3 characters) and remove that bit from the saved abstract.

It is a topic many of us who wear many hats in Web Departments in Higher Ed would benefit from. It seems that , more and more, small one-or-two-person-departments in Higher Ed Web Dev are being charged with doing everything: design, code, social media and analytics can get very overwhelming...I want funnel cake, but have no idea how to set up a funnel in Analytics. I love soccer, but have not idea what to do with goals in Analytics. Again, I am not offering to host this session, I am asking to see if anyone will be presenting on this topic. It would probably be very useful to many attendees.Thank you for reading, Cass :-)</p> REQUEST FOR A SESSION: Understanding Google Analytics for Newbies; How to Use/Leverage in Higher Ed Geoff DiMasi <p>In the course of working with Duke University on the redesign and rebuild of their entire college of arts &amp; science web landscape, I started to see the similarities between a city and a university.
